Can you help water our garden this summer?

Because our plants do not go on summer break, we are asking for your help! If you are available to water our plants one day a week over the summer, we would very much appreciate the support. Watering and caring for the plants will take about 15-30 minutes.

Our garden is dedicated to “Plant-a-Row” for the hungry.  We will deliver the crop once a week to Logan’s GardenCenter.  The remainder of the vegetables are available for the Exploris community to enjoy. This means that if you put in the effort, you can literally “reap what you sow.”

If you are interested in helping with this initiative, please sign up using this Sign-up genius:  www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0D4CACAF0-summer

After School Care

There is NO after school care on Friday, June 10th.

World Without Fish

wwf

We started reading World Without Fish by Mark Kurlansky today in Expedition. Each student was given a copy of the book to borrow.  If your student would like to have their own copy of the book to write in, they are welcome to purchase a copy or download the book to their device. If your student gets their own copy of the book, please return the copy given to them today to Devon or Loren.  At the end of the unit, all books should be returned in the condition in which it was received or it will need to be replaced if damaged. Thank you!

School Closing at 11:15 today! There is no after school program.

blogannouncement

Parents,

After careful consideration, Exploris will close early today.  Students will be dismissed at 11:15.  After school care will be cancelled as well.  I know this is a departure from WCPSS; however, given that over half of our population is in a modular building, I feel this is the best course of action.
If any parent is unable to pick up his/her child, please contact me ASAP.  We will ensure that your child is safe until you can pick him/her up.
Thank you,
Summer
